| From Grade 6 to Grade 12 kids are maturing allowing for increasing levels of skill using art media and tools. Classes are relaxed and learning from each other is encouraged in an environment of guided experimentation and instruction. They can learn from other artist’s work and develop their own ideas. Keys kids develop skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, sculpture, clay work, and more. Kids are encouraged to critique their work and display works that they like. |

TERM 1 2012 - JOURNEY THROUGH TIME Try your hand at painting with oils, moulding with clay, print making, designing a contemporary tree-house and more. We’ll explore art from the present time, last 100 years, and back down through the centuries to ancient times. We’ll create a visual journal and be inspired to create our own paintings, drawings, sculpture, and architecture. |

| TERM 2 2012 - FACES AND SPACES Artists have always been interested in people, where we live and what we do. Develop character in your drawings and learn about cartooning. We’ll learn techniques for drawing and painting faces, hands & people in motion. In this unit you will also develop skills working with pencils, pastels, ink, photographs & mixed media. |
