Join us for our 15th annual Gingerbread House workshop series, we can't wait! Places are limited and we do anticipate some workshops may fill quickly.

In 2023 we are running 5 Gingerbread House Workshop events as follows. Each workshop costs $65 per booking, which includes everything you need to take home a gourmet, lolly covered, gift wrapped gingerbread house!

Saturday December 9th 10:30am - Family Workshop
Saturday December 9th 2:00pm- Family Workshop
Wednesday December 2oth 11am - Teens (13+) and Young Adults
Wednesday December 20th 7pm - Adults
Thursday December 21st 7pm - Adults

What happens in the Workshop?

Attendees will get to assemble a gourmet gingerbread house (no cooking required!), then decorate it with a fantastic array of chocolates, lollies and other goodies. Once you're finished, we'll wrap it up with a bow for your take home enjoyment.
Our legendary lolly buffet will return, with an amazing array of lollies and chocolates. Imagination, creativity and sugar all in one!
Our team will be on hand to help with instructions, offer tips and tricks, and help wrap your kit to take home. Christmas music, jokes and BYO drinks and snacks are welcome!
All you need to decide is how to decorate? Will you choose a colour theme, a pattern, a chocolate theme, a house style (we have had log cabins, two story houses, contemporary homes and Queenslanders in previous years). Bring your ideas with you and get ready to unleash your inner builder and lolly magician!

How many people can attend under one booking?

Family Workshop - Up to two adults and two children ( 4 people) can attend together as a group under one booking. We request a minium age of 3 years for children attending.
Teen Workshop - We recommend booking one place per attendee, however up to two teens can attend per booking. Please let us know beofre the workshop if your teen will be completing their house as a pair.
Adult Workshop - One booking per person attending.

*With a hot summer predicted, and an unfortunate wash out in 2021 just as our outdoor family workshop was about to begin, we have decided in 2023 to run all workshops inside this year. However this does mean places are limited, and group size limites for our family workshop are smaller than previous years. Thank you for your understanding.

How to Book

All Booking links can be found on our Summer workshop program, which will be available from 7:30am Monday November 6th
To book a class online, you will need to create an account on our website and add yourself as a 'student' to your account.
Age limits are firm, and the youngest age for the teen workshop is 13 years.

All base house kits we use are:

Made in Australia
vegan
nut free
palm oil free
no added colours or flavours
no added preservatives
compostable wrapper
kosher

We will provide a large mix of lollies. Most lollies will be out of their packing, although all packing is available to check ingredients on request. A selected of wrapped lollies are also available for those who prefer.

What happens if I am no longer able to attend my booked workshop Illness / Unexpected Event?

We get it, plans change! For this reason Flying Fox Studios offers a workshop credit or refund for any cancelled booking that has been requested in writing with 7 or more days notice before your scheduled class.
Due to the nature of this workshop and the consumable materials required to be purchased in advance, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations when less than 7 days notice has been given. If you are unable to attend you class, your kit will be provided in a take home pack to be collected from our studio prior to December 23rd.

Workshops offered at Flying Fox Studios require a significant amount of resource preparation prior to the event. This is often completed the week prior to workshops, which is why we ask for 7 days notice if a refund or credit is requested. Thank you for your understanding.
