A deposit must be paid to ensure your place in a class. Full fees are due 7 days before classes commence.

Choosing a Class

The age recommendations outlined for classes have been carefully constructed to best group children in an age and developmentally appropriate way.  Therefore, it is important that your child be at least the minimum age by the start of the term for the class in which you are enrolling.  If you have concerns about your child’s success in a particular age range, we are happy to discuss your child’s needs and to work with you to place him/her in the most suitable class.

Register Early

Although you may join our classes at any time, please register early since class sizes are limited and many fill quickly. If you enrol after the start of the semester, tuition will be pro-rated accordingly.

Enrollment Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation email confirming your payment and registration into a class.

Make-up Classes

In the event of teacher illness an alternate teacher will be arranged. If this is not possible classes will be cancelled and made up at a later date.

In the event of child or parent illness, you are welcome along to a different class as a make up lesson during the term. All makeup lessons must be booked in advance and are to be completed by the end of your enrolled unit.

Adults in Class

We usually allocate space for one child and one adult per class, however we love to have mums / dads / grandparents who can't regularly attend class come along as well. If you would like an extra adult attend class please check with us first to make sure there is enough space.

We would prefer that if parents have a alternate option for an older or younger non enrolled sibling, they are not brought along to class. We do however realise this is not always an option for every family. It is not practically possible for our studio to only cater for one child families, and we try our best to balance this within our class structure. If you have a concern please don’t hesitate to talk to you teacher.

If you, or your child is sick then the best place to be is at home! You can always attend a make up class at another point during the term.

Deposits for classes are non-refundable. A refund request (less deposit payment) may be considered subject to the following conditions: 7 days notice has been given before the first class of term. You place in class has been able to be re-booked. A written withdrawal request has been received.

For factors outside the control of Flying Fox Studios Pty Ltd (such as loss of electricity supply, storm damage, state school closures, government shutdown etc) that result a cancelled class, a make up class will be offered. In the event of a prolonged cancellation (2 weeks or more) a credit for those classes will be given.  Refunds are not available in this event.

Making the Most of Your Classes

Plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes early for class.  Arriving a little before class provides time for your child to settle in to the creative environment as they prepare to enjoy their class  We do require that toys and snacks are not brought into the classrooms.

During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model.  It is not uncommon for a young child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable enough to participate fully.  Don’t be discouraged – what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home environment first.  The understanding and consistency of the parent or caregiver in class and at home are key to facilitating learning and growth.
