*Bite Sized Builds | 6 to 12 years | Do you often bite off more than you can chew? In this workshop we will mix creativity with construction as we build tasty towers and scrumptious structures using deliciously unusual building materials. Discover the sticky science behind building strong foundations and learn how to stack, balance, and connect some seriously sweet creations. The best part? Every crumble teaches something new. |
A House for a Mouse: Spring Clean | 4 to 7 years | Be enchanted by the tales of Brambly Hedge as you create a comfortable home, fully spring cleaned, for your own little mouse. In this workshop you will make a little mouse house, small furniture, for a little furry mouse. Take home your own a lovely little watercolour artwork. |
Anime Art Academy | 8 to 12 years | Join the Anime Art Academy for lots of tips to help you draw Anime characters and poses. This drawing workshop is suitable for beginners and the more experienced. Build your skills with practise sheets and references. Develop an Anime artwork to display. |
Art from Garden to Gallery | 5 to 10 years | A drawing and painting workshop full of inspiration from the garden. Take a look at artworks by Vincent Van Gough, Claude Monet, Margaret Preston and others. Draw your own flowers or fruit from real life. Make a beautiful painting of the artist's garden to take home. |
Capybara Cafe: Paint & Create | 6 to 12 years | Capybaras own and serve in this cafe. They cook the food, wait on the customers and clean up. This is a workshop for those who love to sketch and to make things. Learn how to draw these cheerful creatures doing all their cafe work. You’ll create a 3D cafe scene and add your capybara characters. Take home a 3D artwork for your desk. |
Crafty Clues: A Minecraft Mystery | 5 to 10 years | Step into the pixelated world of Minecraft and help to solve a hilarious, blocky whodunit! We need a crack squad of mini detectives and Minecraft master sleuths to help crack 'The Case of the Diamond Cake'. We'll mine for clues, collect the evidence, interrogate suspect mobs, and craft the truth. Get your thinking caps and pickaxes ready—it’s mystery time! |
Cubby House Engineer | 4 to 7 years | It all starts with a cubby, then before you know it you're designing houses, bridges, and skyscrapers! In this workshop, we'll understand what makes our cubby's stand the strongest and tallest of them all, then build the grandest cubby city the world has ever seen. |
Customise: Sketchbook Starter | 8 to 14 years | A sketchbook to take anywhere is a fantastic way to develop and practise your own drawing and story ideas. Choose a theme; people, fantasy, dragons, sport etc. Customise your cover using a variety of materials. We’ll prepare some pages with starters for your observations. Lots of tips and ideas for drawing and sketching. You’ll get your own sketchbook to take away. |
Draw More: Paws & Claws | 6 to 12 years | Do you love drawing animals big and small? Join us as we draw favourites big and small. Cats, dogs, budgies, wombats, guineas pigs, owls and more. Be guided through step by step techniques that will help you capture their personalities. Learn to draw them in action and resting. Develop an artwork of your favourite. |
Engineering Challenge: Beat the Clock | 6 to 12 years | Are you looking for a challenge? In this workshop, we will be racing the clock as we design, engineer, and build time trials to test your skill under pressure. Will you rise to the challenge? |
Geology Rocks: City of Gold | 5 to 10 years | Journey deep into the South American landscape in search of the most precious and elusive of treasures, El Dorado. We'll try to decipher the ancient maps, look for hints in legends, and piece together a Lego city of gold from all the clues. There will be gems, rocks, and most importantly GOLD! Can you resist the prospect of riches and fame? |
Hoop Art: Paint & Stitch Botanicals | 10 to 15 years | In this workshop we’ll combine painting and stitching to create a 12” hoop artwork with a botanical theme. Choose your design, combine colours, paint your fabric then you’re ready for stitching. Take home your completed artwork ready for hanging. Suitable for beginners and more experienced stitchers |
Lost Cities of Lego: Forbidden Forest | 6 to 12 years | Step into the shadows of the Forbidden Forest where magic, mystery, imagination, and Lego collide! Design a Forbidden Forest, complete with twisting trees, secret hideouts, hidden passages, and magical creatures. Venture into the forest and bring a touch of wizarding wonder to life, brick by brick. |
Magicians Bag of Tricks | 5 to 10 years | Roll up, Roll up, Roll up... it’s magic time! Step behind the scenes as Justin the Great reveals the truth behind some of his favourite magic tricks. Learn some tricks of your very own, play some magic games, discover the art of mesmerising the audience, and have a huge amount of fun! In this workshop, the Magicians Bag of Tricks holds the secrets! |
Minecraft Myth Busters | 6 to 12 years | Are you a fan of Minecraft? Have you ever wanted to be a mythbuster? In this workshop for curious gamers, we will be putting some Minecraft mechanics to the test in the real world! We will experiment with explosions, learn about lava, work out the water bucket clutch, and more. Science and Minecraft side-by-side. What more could you want? |
Painted Parrots: Acrylic Canvas | 8 to 14 years | Parrots of many kind will be the stars of this painted canvas workshop. Learn about choosing and mixing the colours that best match your bird. We will use acrylic paints and mediums to add texture. Add some line detail with paint pens to complete the picture. Take home an amazing painted canvas portrait of your favourite parrot. |
Paper Plane Master | 6 to 12 years | Whether you are a master paper plane builder, or just starting out, this workshop will take you to new heights. We'll investigate the aerodynamics of flight and apply it to our paper plane designs. We'll tinker with the classic design and play around with some advanced theories. There will be plenty of testing and a competition to finish it all off. Will you soar above the pack? |
Pencil Art: Realism in Graphite | 10 to 15 years | Using both graphite in its many forms we’ll explore the possibilities for creating amazing artworks using these accessible materials. This workshop is suitable for those who love drawing and who like to take their time creating 1 or 2 realistic artworks. Techniques will be introduced and developed. Take home some practise sheets and your finished art. |
Pins & Patches: Wearable Art | 6 to 12 years | Sew and paint custom denim patches and button pins for jeans, jackets, clothing or bags. Your patches will be pre-prepared with sewn borders, ready for your original embroidered and painted artwork. An iron-on backing is included. Suitable for beginners or the more experienced. |
Rust Red Rocks & Turquoise Tides | 8 to 14 years |
The colours and textures of the great Australian landscape inspire. Discover techniques for painting the vivid colours of our landscapes using a mix of media including watercolour, soft pastels, pencils and acrylics. Be guided through a process of choosing, layering and blending colours. Take home your artworks ready to display. |
The Fairy Village | 4 to 7 years | New houses are needed for the fairy village. Fairy builders and crafters are wanted. There'll be tools to use, sticks and stones to gather, and moss and leaves to collect. We'll design and build our whimsical dwellings, then fill them with furniture for cute little fairies. They’ll love them. |
The Invention Convention 2075 | 6 to 12 years | Welcome young inventors! Pack your creativity, imagination, and a sense of adventure and blast into a future of immense possibilities. We'll begin by looking back at the wild inventions that the people of the past imagined in our present, then zoom forward to dream up the next Big Thing. So grab your goggles and fire up your flux capacitor. The future starts now! |
Think it, Build it, Move it! | 4 to 7 years | If you can think it, you can build it with our massive collection of Lego, K'Nex, Kiditec, and more! Join us as we build a fleet of cars, trucks, planes and boats and see what they can carry. We'll conduct tests to see which vehicles are best suited for moving different objects, how much they can carry, and how fast they can go. Come along and stretch your imagination in a constructive way. |
Up Up and Away! Science in the Sky | 4 to 7 years | Adventure is in the air as we take science to new heights. Discover how things soar, float, and fall in the air around us as we experiment and create aerodynamic magic. So, buckle up and get ready to take flight because in this workshop, the sky is the limit and science is a breeze. |
Watercolour Hats & Hoots | 5 to 10 years | Let’s imagine a wild and wonderful party for birds of all kinds. Bright and colourful, everyone in their best hat! In this silly illustration style workshop we’ll develop and paint our animal characters and their hats. Learn how to develop an artwork that tells a story. Add lots of colour, then let their celebration begin. |
Wonder World Engineering | 6 to 12 years | In the world of Engineering, there are many wonderous creations. Do you wonder why they were made, how they still stand, or where they can be found? We will visit the Eiffel Tower, the Petronas Twin Towers, and Taipei 101 to see the wonder, find the common threads, and build a wonderous creation of our own. |
